a guy's take

Husband thinks we need to show more of the Four Tides' male perspective. Do I suspect fishing and killer surf? Beer slurped from a can? Ribs well done on the grill? (Husband doesn't even like ribs). There is one conundrum, much of the materials I have been working with were his. This is the home he grew up in. In fact, we are in the process of adding more modern and masculine additions, removing some of the cutesy cottage stuff, as we update Low Tide.

Hahah Yes, you made it clear. Husband gets the house. Fair enough to me! :-))

there is something about touches of darker wood, solid pieces, simplification - it is a tad bit more masculine but grounding and, if done right, really pretty as well.

Welcome to blogging. Funny I would think as an editor you would see so many words and pictures that you would need to take a break from it. I like your story telling about the cottages. I was sent over by French Blue. I am interested to see where you take this little cottage of yours, you seem to favor European looks in the magazine. I hope you come to enjoy blogging as I have, and if you make some great friends along the way even better. Best of luck on all your updates.

Thanks for your comments. In fact, we are currently staining the floors a dark ebony for an entirely new look. There are lots of khaki fabrics, pillows and earthy neutral tones in the mix. We have a vision though not quite there yet. I think it will be great. xo
