a saturday in may

Today at The Four Tides there was cake decorating, sea glass organizing (more on that one later) and a late afternoon picnic. Olivia cut the tags from a sundress she overlooked last season, finding it appropriate for our outing. I believe she is entering the wonderful age of girls in sundresses.

We arranged a basket with fruit, flowers and a few classic reads, which we laid out in front of Ebb Tide. The strawberries were particularly sweet.

Hello Jacqueline ~I've just strolled in from Lidy's for my first visit...I've enjoyed taking a peek at your past posts. You've got such a beautifully inviting blog.
I love reading about Laguna Beach. I grew up in Orange County. My family still resides there. Hubby is from the Pacific Northwest so, he whisked me off (at the first opportunity) from the sunshine state to the rainy state 27 years ago!
As summer approaches I'm looking forward to a little baking/cooking with fresh grown fruits and veggies.
Don't you love the aroma that fills the air during this season?
It's definitely invigorating.
I will come by your charming blog again. I look forward to seeing your continued journey in motherhood. I would imagine Miss Olivia is very excited to be a big sister
Come by for a visit. Your company would be nice.

Sweet wishes,
Sara

Welcome to Blogland!

Dear Lidy has sent me your way. I lived in Orange County many years ago, and I do miss it. Laguna Beach was always a favorite haunt of ours. We especially loved the Saw Dust Festival. We haven't been there in years, but I still remember the wonderful scent of the saw dust, and the amazing artists. You're sweet daughter looks like a gem. And yes, there is nothing more wonderful than sun dresses on a beautiful picnic day.

Welcome to Blogland Jacqueline! My dear friend Lidy sent me here along with all these other sweet ladies.

I'm glad you like it there on the west coast. I grew up running along those beaches as a child and even though my life and heart belongs to Ohio now, it will always be a special place to me.

Congratulations on the baby to be!

Hi,

This is the first time I've got to visit your new blog. I just got finished reading the whole thing and already know you are going to be one of my favorite places to stop by and visit here in Blogland.

Seems we live pretty close to each other in the real world. I'm just over by South Coast Plaza. I used to live in Laguna Niguel and Aliso Viejo before moving here.

I go to Laguna Beach all the time and just adore it.

Who knows, maybe we even passed each other on the streets before. It's a small world isn't it :)

Hugs,
Joanne
