luc luc luc!

Sorry for the late posting but we took a few days off from The Four Tides to be at Hoag Hospital (a.k.a The Four Seasons of Hospitals--and thank you to all the nurses, volunteers and doctors who were there for us!) Yes, Luc Sonnett deMontravel Rosen was born on Tuesday. A three hour delivery (in at 10:19 p.m./out at 1:18 a.m.) From the beginning, Luc is just an easy sweet boy.

Even when we arrived home yesterday, I realized we had no place to put him as we ambled about the cottage. However, in a box as big as a park bench, Annette Tatum of House Inc. sent us this gorgeous Moses basket, which he is sleeping in right now.

We are so lucky to have Luc welcomed into a world with so many great friends.

Congratulations on your beautiful little bundle! And I love his name! Both my girls were born at Hoag 21 and 23 years ago and their Alternative Birthing Suites were gorgeous even back then. Enjoy every minute of this amazing time, there is truly nothing better than being a mother. Much happiness to you and yours!

Oh no I am late in my congratulations! I don't think you get to call it labor if it was only 3 hours. They would call it Breeze! ha! I thought the first 2 weeks after birth were the worst....If it was for you, your already finished with the worst. Now it just gets more fun every single day! Enjoy!

My first baby loved his Moses basket and while it has been 26 years since I first put him in it, I know what a wonderful treat it is to have a sweet, easy boy. Mine is sitting next to me right now, watching TV, instructing me on the ins and outs of the World Cup.

My mom & her parents used to holiday in Laguna Beach when she was a girl in the 1930's. Thank you for watching over such a special part of the world!

Loved this passage you wrote in 2010:
" I stepped from the car, my legs gummy from the ride, and heard a buzzing sound from above. The light was sepia in tone."'

Also loved the photo of your lovely bathroom in your Ebb tide cottage. Many many people still need clarification on the color on the wall. Ebb tide is the name of your cottage. Is it also the name of the paint color? Or was this paint color already there and you don't know the name. Thanks!
