In Laguna Beach, California, there are four "tides," which are cottages: Low Tide, High Tide, Red Tide and Ebb Tide. Our family lives in one of these cottages. It is a place by the ocean, with many visitors--more in the barefoot days of summer. Everyone exhales. Everyone is the type of person who can handle sand in the house and nights on the deck that never seem to end. Visit us, literally, at http://www.vrbo.com/23551.

extending your shelf life
What I find most beautiful in this display is not what the picture reveals. These shelves are a result of a series of negotiations. How do we create more space in our home? Whose treasured belongings deserve more attention? This is a household headed by two passionate people who share a love for beautiful things, beach life, decor--all of which is reflected on three new shelfs.
Hello, I like the nice clean lines of your shelves! I cannot tell what is in the little glass holders, a nice touch though.

You've got the forgotten microscope, the color coded sea glass, and the beloved books, and they all look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteVery inspiring.

Thank you for bringing back memories of collecting beach glass as a kid in Hawaii.
ReplyDeleteCan only imagine the "fun" of the negotiation chez vous. Love the seaglass, the composition is so calming, just perfect for your home.
ReplyDelete{where is Luc's shelf?}
Beautifully displayed, it is a nice crisp composition and very interesting!
ReplyDeleteI am posting pink today!

There seems to be little negotiation in our household re shelf space, someone keeps hijacking mine :) I love the vintage microscope, glad that made the cut! Wishing you a lovely weekend...

Creating a new shelf is always inspiring. With colors you can even create a certain mood. I am painting through synesthesia which makes me see colors when I hear names and numbers. These colors I transform in paintings. Colors are my life.
