Tomorrow is Olivia's last day of school. This weekend we have our first summer renters. To me the summer does not begin when the calendar calls for the season, but when school is out and families come to vacation with us.
Allan and I, well more Allan now that I am on constant Luc duty, have been getting the cottages ready for the summer. We have a new front door, deck that is being repaired--I can't keep track of all the projects. Though one room that will stay in tact is this bathroom in Ebb Tide. From the stone floor to the nautical blue paint, this is a result of Allan's vision. His and hers sinks are a must. It is a luxury to be able to brush your teeth alongside your significant other without having to dodge their spit. Love has its limits.
I love your cottage bathroom and your blog. I will be stopping by often to catch up. Best wishes to you and have a wonderful summer! Sandra

Enjoy your summer!

Hello Jacqueline and Family,
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness gracious - I just read about your blog in Romantic Homes and and am enthralled reading about you and your lovely family adventures living in Ebb Tide.
Olivia is charming, Luc adorable and your husband- wow his taste and decorating style is delightful.
I am an artist and met you at the Vintage Vavoom book signing party several years ago. You were so gracious and encouraging to me to start my own blog. Well, I took your advise and started my blog and entered the wonderful world of blogging. Would love for you to stop by sometime and enjoy my Painted Garden.
Blessings to you and your family,
Erin
Love your blog...just got my new Romantic Homes..and so happy to have such grand company in the "setting your sites" section. Your bathroom is beyond lovely...I adore the pebble floor! xoxo
ReplyDeleteLucky is the family to own a beach cottage. We live on a lake but to have my own little beach cottage has always been a dream of mine. Just the other day I was telling a friend of mine about how I had been doing some organizing and found a school paper that had been written by my 10 year old son (now 32) that I had saved. It was about famous women and he had also included his Mom (me) in the article (not famous) :). He had written how someday his Mom's wish was to sit on the beach wearing a big floppy hat and flowing summery dress surrounded by her grandchildren. Well...that wish is going to happen this coming 4th of July. We have rented a big cottage and my boys and their families and children will be traveling from afar and joining us. I can't wait! See....dreams do come true! :)
ReplyDeleteYour bath is just charming and that stone floor is to die four. Come for a visit when you can. ~~ Lynn @theVintageNest
What great Blogs we find in Romantic Homes :) hope we can get across town one way or the other sometime soon. Puppy kisses from Honey to you all...

ReplyDeleteEbb Tide by Sherwin Williams
ReplyDeleteThe cottage is called Ebb Tide...not the paint color.
ReplyDeleteAnother reader, here, begging for that paint color!
ReplyDeleteFor the love of all that is holy, WHAT is the paint color?!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDoes she not check back on her own blog?
I think the cottage is called the FOUR tides. Sherwin Williams has a paint color that is called EBB tide...looks like the color to me. I think people are confusing the two (very similar) names.
ReplyDeleteCould you please say the name and brand of paint colour? Lots of people want to know!!
ReplyDeletePaint color was mentioned at least 5 times. Just takes a moment to read.....

ReplyDeleteNautical blue
ReplyDeleteI'd love to know the bathroom color in Ebb Tide cottage also! Laura King. laura@LauraKingHomes.com
ReplyDeleteLove this bathroom. We have a similar slanted ceiling and I like how the ceiling is lower over the sinks with recessed lighting. I have had difficulty deciding on the right light fixture and this would solve the problem. I would love to see what the rest of the bathroom looks like.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know the brand of vanity cabinet with the double sinks.?
ReplyDeleteWhat is the name of the paint color used please. Sue at legster5@comcast.net
ReplyDeleteI am fairly certain this is Benjamin Moore Spirit in the Sky
